Just yes to all this. My dad and I have been talking about that Brooks and his work lately. I love this re-awakening you are having and how messy and beautiful it is. Please keep sharing. Feels very holy.

So relevant to living with purpose and joy in the clutter of daily just being, yet knowing it all has a plan and a purpose for you to prosper.

Oh my!

From Tuesdays with Morrie to David Brooks to the Great Conversation of what it means to be human.

And tucked up in your excellent post is the thought that interuptions are 'the midwife of grace'. Just splendid.

Henri Nouwen tried to persuade the world of parish clergy (of all Churches anywhere) that interruptions were 'the real agenda' God was giving you and paying attention to them was not only 'the way of the Lord' but the road to fulfillment and inner healing of one's self, i.e. being more fully human.

David Brooks' farewell piece is so outstanding I don't have the wordskill to do justice to it/him. But it needs saving, re-reading and cherishing.

Thank you for constantly inviting us to the Great conversation by your writing. Keep on keeping on, please. Thank you
